Project Symbiose is an ambitious waste treatment and energy recovery initiative underway in Monaco, specifically planned for the Charles III islet. This €300 million project is set to replace Monaco's existing, outdated waste treatment facility in Fontvieille. The construction is anticipated to commence in 2030 and is designed to advance Monaco's environmental management by transforming waste into energy, thus supporting both ecological and economic goals.
The facility aims to use innovative technology to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants dramatically.
